Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat on Thursday appealed the government and the people of Pakistan to observe April 6 (Kashmir Solidarity Day) in such a manner that the world as well as the people of Jammu and Kashmir feel that Pakistan is with this oppressed nation and JK belongs to the Islamic Pakistan “On April 6, Kashmir Solidarity Day across Pakistan, in this regard I appeal the government and of Pakistan it should be an exemplary day. Every person , men, women, old and young should be on roads and should make the people of Jammu and Kashmir feel that Pakistan is with this oppressed nation.

Mere declarations and statements won’t do, Pakistan has to show it practically that JK is a part of Pakistan and the struggle here is a legitimate one and Pakistan backs this genuine struggle,” she said in a statement. She also appealed the people of Jammu and Kashmir to hold peaceful protests so that world comes “to know that we all are protesting the killings of Sunday and against the India’s stubbornness over not implementing the UN resolutions.” “It is my wish that on April 6, we must together tell that world that Indian occupation must end and the people of Jammu and Kashmir be given their right to self-determination, right to plebiscite,” she added. Further, Andrabi condemned the use of brute force by the Indian occupying forces and police on the innocent students who were protesting the Sunday’s massacre in Shopian.

“ After five days the schools and colleges reopened and we witnessed that everywhere in Universities, colleges, girls schools and higher education institutions protests against the Shopian massacre were held,” she said She said that these students were protesting to show solidarity with their brethren who were murdered using Israeli-made chemical weapons by the Indian forces. “ Those boys were burned alive. Ironically, it has become a norm of this puppet government that they don’t even allow peaceful protests in Kashmir.

These children were shouting just slogans and these forces used extreme force against them,” she said. “In many colleges especially at Handwara College, after injuring the students the brutal police force didn’t allow the movement of ambulances meant to ferry the injured to the hospitals. This is extreme form of barbarity,” she said.
